Rawtenstall wicketkeeper Vinny Hanson claimed his 400th Lancashire League victim in his sides 44 run home defeat by Accrington. The home skipper claimed 3 victims but it was his catch off professional Naved Arif to get rid of Accrington opener Simon Hanson (17) that was the magical one. Arif took 5-38, including his 50th wicket of the season, and Keith Roscoe took 4-75. Graham Lloyd top scored with 49 for Accrington, including seven fours and a six from 73 balls and pasing 500 runs for the season. Lloyd added 36 for the 6th wicket with Matt Schofield (26). When the former Lancashire man was 7th man out at 148, Arif cleaned up the tail and Accrington were dismissed for 151. Professional Will Driver took 4-25, skipper David Ormerod 3-39 and Paul Carroll 3-17 as Rawtenstall were bowled out for 107. Andy Clough made 24 and Arif 23 for the home side who were without the injured Andy Payne. Accrington's win takes then up to 8th in the table.
