Accrington lost top spot after going down to a 7 wicket defeat at Burnley in a rain affected game. Accrington made 172-9 with professional Roy Silva (38), Stuart Crabtree (33), Simon Hanson (22), Paul Carroll (20), Matt Wilson (14) and Matt Schofield (10 not out) all chipping in.The visitors were 113-3 at one stage, but a mid innings collapse saw the champions lose the initiative, slipping to 130-7 as the runs dried up after both Graham Lloyd and Silva were given out stumped and Graeme Sneddon was run out. Burnley wicketkeeper Chris Burton had an outstanding match claiming five victims, four of them stumpings, and then hitting an unbeaten 39 as Burnley chased a revised target of 131 from 34 overs. Vishal Tripathi hit 31, professional Jeeva Kulatunga 33 and Daniel Pickup 19 in a sound all round performance by Burnley. Bharat Tripathi added to his ever growing wicket total by taking 3-68.
