Accrington joined Rawtenstall at the top of the table after beating their semi final opponents Burnley by 5 wickets at Thorneyholme Road. Daniel Pickup top scored with a painstaking 41 with solid support from Mohammed Jamal (34) and Michael Kelly (25) in Burnley's 157 all out. Paul Carroll picked up 4-33, Toby Bulcock 2-37 and David Ormerod took 2-39 to move to within 8 wickets of the magical 1,000 mark. David Lloyd picked up a catch off Qasim Ali and wicketkeeper Matt Wilson claimed 5 victims. Professional Roy Silva hit 50 from 62 balls with Wilson adding a brisk 28, Stuart Crabtree 14, Carroll 13 and Graham Lloyd (22) and Simon Hanson (12) were both unbeaten at the end.
