Ramsbottom had a nail-biting 2 wicket win over Accrington at Acre Bottom to cement third place. Nishit Shetty top scored with 90 to finish as the league's leading run scorer with 1159 runs in Accrington's 149 all out. Simon Hanson (16) and Zahir Afzal (12) were the only other Accrington players in double figures. Simon Read took 4-26 and Mike Haslam 3-23 for Ramsbottom. The home side lost a couple of early wickets but steady batting by David Bell (27), Keith Webb (23), Joshi (25), Martin Cropper (18) and a match winning unbeaten 37 by Read steered Ramsbottom to victory with just 2 balls to spare. David Ormerod took 3-59 to finish as the leading amateur wicket-taker with 62 for the eighth time in his career. Shetty also picked up 3-66.
