Lowerhouse (12pts) beat Accrington (0pts) by 137 runs

Lowerhouse's long unbeaten run at Accrington continued when they beat the home side by 137 runs. Unbeaten at Thorneyholme Road since 1994, the champions looked uncomfortable at 92-5, but Charlie Cottam and Chris Benbow doubled the score with Cottam hitting nine fours in a 55 ball knock. Benbow went on to hit four fours and three sixes in making 51 from 84 balls, adding 30 for the 6th wicket with skipper Joe Beneduce, who finished unbeaten on 39 in Lowerhouse's 257-8. Graeme Sneddon took 4-76 and Damian Clarke 3-52 for Accrington. Jonny Russell (2-56) and professional Ryan Harris (3-21) made early inroads with opener Adam Wilson hitting eight boundaries in a top score of 45 for Accrington, who were bowled out for 120. Benbow took 4-=25, including a sharp caught and bowled to remove David Ormerod.
