Haslingden got back to winning ways, beating Accrington by 98 runs at Bentgate. Steady batting by Andy Clough (39), John Simpson (36), professional Tama Canning (29), Mike Ingham (27) and skipper Stuart Catterall (24) took Haslingden to 212-9 after the home side were put in to bat. Zahir Afzal took 3-68 for Accrington. Jimmy Hayhurst removed the Wilson brothers as Accrington began badly losing half the side for 51 after cruising to 40-1. Professional Nishit Shetty top scored with 27 with support from Graeme Sneddon (19), Mick Horsfield (17) and Waqas Ahmed (14) to take Accrington to 116 with Canning taking 3-43 against his former club and Clough picking up 3-28 and Hayhurst 2-24 for Haslingden.
