An opening stand of 156 paved the way for Nelson's 54 run win at Accrington. Joe Scuderi hit 13 fours in an innings of 102 with his partner Khurram Nazir hitting 67 with nine fours as Nelson piled up 234-5. Sub professional Doug Watson added 25 and he chipped in with 3-47 as the home side were bowled out for 180. Danny Kegg was Nelson most successful bowler with 5-77 in 20.4 overs. Stuart Crabtree (34) Tama Canning (31), Adam Barnes (29), Mohsin Ahmed (27), Graeme Sneddon (21) and Mick Horsfield (14) all got in but none of the early order could make a big enough score to enable Accrington to challenge Nelson's huge total.
