A career best bowling performance from Jonathan Finch took Lowerhouse joint top with Haslingden after a 48 run win at Accrington. Finch took 7-46 and Andrew McDonald 3-22 as the home side meekly surrendered their wickets on a wicket that required application.
Mohsin Ahmed made 12 before being adjudged leg before to the Australian McDonald, Mick Horsfield stuck around for 12 and Matt Wilson made an unbeaten 11, running out of partners down at number eight.
Eight Accrington wickets fell to catches with Charlie Cottam particularly busy at cover with four to his name. Tariq Hussain had earlier done even better than Finch, taking a career best 8-44, easily the best amateur bowling performance of the season, as Lowerhouse were bowled out for 120 in a 40 over contest. McDonald top scored with 43 and Ben Heap made 14 on his return to the side.
