Seymore hit his 1,000th run of the season with the winning six off John
Seedle as Accrington beat Church at West End to record
their fourth win of the campaign. Seymore
(100 not out) hit 13 boundaries and one six in his fifth century for
Accrington, his third of the season and his second at West End. Four
of his five centuries have been unbeaten. Seymore is the first Accrington
professional to score 1,000 runs in a season twice. Stefan Heins hit
33 and Graeme Sneddon 12 as Accrington made 173-4 in response to the
Church total of 168. Stand in professional Wes Morrick of Oswaldtwistle
Immanuel, hit 45, skipper Phil Sykes 44 and Sam Tucker 32 for the home
side with Zahir Afzal taking 3-49 in a fine spell, Jimmy Hayhurst 3-41
and Seymore capping a fine day with 2-26.
