Inspired performances from professional Andre Seymore and captain Damian Clarke took Accrington to a first win of the season against Burnley at Thorneyholme Road. Clarke took a career best 6-51, including his 150th league wicket for the club, to peg back the visitors after openers Ben Law (52) and Jonathan Clare (31) had put on 87 in good time. Seymore also chipped in with 3-54 as Burnley finished on 192-9. The South African then hit a superb unbeaten 121, his best score for the club as Accrington got home by 6 wickets. Seymore hit 19 boundaries and one straight six through the trees at the Huncoat End, sharing in a 4th wicket stand of 61 with Adam Greenwood (24). Steven Holden was Burnley's best bowler with 2-27.
