Todmorden v Accrington
Accrington lost a high scoring game at Todmorden by 4 wickets after piling up their highest score of the season 193-6. Mark Greenhalgh marked his return to the side after nine matches out through injury with a rapid unbeaten 50, including five fours and two sixes. Openers Nick Marsh (8) and professional Sherwin Campbell put on 29 before Marsh was bowled by Stuart Parker. Skipper Mark Aspin joined his professional to take the score to 81 when Aspin (36) fell to home professional Scott Williams caught behind by David Whitehead, The same combination accounted for Paul Barratt (14) at 103. Ten runs later Campbell's innings ended when he was stumped by Whitehead off Ibrar Ali for 42. Williams then trapped Tofeeq Khan in front without scoring one run later and half the side were out for 114. Greenhalgh joined Martin Whittle (18) to add 35 for the 6th wicket and as the overs ran out Brian Holmes (16 not out) joined in the fun punishing Williams (3-107) and Ali (2-52). Greenhalgh (2-33) removed Mark Clayton (1) at 2 and David Hatton (9) at 27 with Campbell sending back Whitehead (20) at 35. Williams led Todmorden's fightback with a half century. He lost skipper Brian Heywood (23) at 81 and Duncan Parker (20) at 132 before falling to his opposite number for 67, including three fours, at 167. Andy Barker (27 not out) and Stuart Parker (16 not out) then took Todmorden to victory with an unbroken 7th wicket stand of 37 with 2 balls to spare.
