Accrington were on the wrong end of a 10 wicket mauling in their local derby at Rishton after being bowled out for 132. Professional David Lloyd was third out for a top score of 28 with the total on 56  in the 15th over after Bob Hutchinson had removed opener Andy Stevenson (4) and Mark Aspin (9) was caught behind by Frank Martindale off professional Peter Rawson. The same combination accounted for Neil Jones (5) and then Rawson clean bowled Andy Gardener (12) and ended Graham Lloyd’s first senior innings on 3. Colin Kuhn ended Malcolm Taylor’s resistance at 92 and Rawson had Paul Barratt caught by David Wilson for 14 with the score on 110. Skipper Alan Worsick hit a late 18 to take the score to 132 when he was bowled by Rawson. Kuhn snapped up Glen Dickinson (8) at the same score to finish off the innings in the 28th over. Accrington tried five bowlers but there was no shifting Brian Ratcliffe and Wilson as the pair knocked off the runs in the 27th over.
