Accrington rattled up 181-3 on the way to a 47 run win at Dill Hall Lane. Peter West (67) and John Swanney (53 not out) made half centuries in a 3rd wicket stand of 118, Geoff Hayhurst hit 35 and Graham Beech 12 in the visitors innings. Skipper Ian Birtwistle then took 4-32 and professional Alan Worsick 3-69 as Enfield were restricted to 134-9. Professional Madan Lal made 57 and Ian Metcalf 31 but only Peter Holt (13) could muster double figures of the other Enfield batsmen. Scorecard
