Todmorden v Accrington
Saturday June 14th 1975

Alan Richardson made a timely return to form to hit a match winning unbeaten 64 after Accrington were struggling with half the side out for 51 chasing 160 for victory against Todmorden at Centre Vale. The left hander hit the winning run after putting on 37 for the 7th wicket with Tony Gallagher, who was unbeaten on 15. Brian Whittaker removed openers Geoff Hayhurst (10) and Graham Beech (15) and the in-form Malcolm Taylor (13) with Mick Hartley dismissing skipper Peter West and professional Alan Worsick before either had scored, but the Accrington lower order again responded to the challenge with Alan Kennedy (16) and Ian Birtwistle (14) adding useful runs with Richardson. Todmorden professional Brian Crump had earlier hit an unbeaten 66, including ten fours, in the home sides 159-6 with Dave Parsons bowling a useful spell in picking up a couple of wickets.
