Accrington CC Action Group (Adam Barnes, Alven Burrows, Richard Burrows, Mark Croasdale, James Hayhurst, Phil Hodson, Scott Hudson, Zed Hussain, Marion Ormerod, Nigel Stockley.)

In December 2003, Accrington Cricket Club formed an Action Group to implement ideas put forward by the Membership at an EGM, which had been called to highlight the financial plight of the club.

One major problem facing the club is the lack of regular income especially during the winter months. Overheads such as rates, gas, electric and water etc still have to be paid and this is in addition to the cash needed for a professional and ground preparations before subscriptions are due at the start of the season.

The members feel therefore that one way to offset these costs and also to provide a financial base for the club is to provide an opportunity for friends of the club (members, ex players, parents) to make a minimum contribution of £1.25 per week by setting up a standing order (using the enclosed form) that will leave your account each month to keep our club afloat.

In addition to this The Action Group will be working hard in the coming months to increase income via fund raising activities and sponsorship.

Any help you can provide will be much appreciated as we strive to achieve one common goal - to make Accrington Cricket Club successful.
